Information Collection and Use
Personal Information. We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. When you sign up with your Google account, your Ink Studio AI account username will be prefilled with your name and your public profile picture.
Data Retention. We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
Data Sharing and Protection
Third-party Sharing. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that run parts of Ink Studio AI for us, and when the law requires it. These providers are Stripe (payments), PostHog (analytics), Hetzner and Cloudflare (hosting and network), Amazon Web Services (image storage and email), OpenAI, Google, and Replicate (image generation, which receive your prompts and uploaded images), and Typesafe AI (prompt moderation, which receives your prompt text).
Data Controller and Processor. We act in the capacity of a data controller and a data processor with regard to the personal data processed through Ink Studio AI and the services in terms of the applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Analytics
How we measure visits. We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how people use the website. The website sends analytics data to our own domain, and our server forwards it to PostHog. PostHog receives your IP address and browser details, which it uses to estimate your approximate location and to count visits.
Account activity. When you have an account, we record account events such as sign-ins, generated designs, and purchases with your email address. We use these records to run the service, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Your cookie choice does not change these records.
Before you choose, or if you decline. If you have not accepted analytics cookies, or if you declined them, we count visits without cookies or local storage. PostHog makes an identifier from your IP address, your browser details, and a secret value that changes every day. Visits on different days are not linked, and these visits are not linked to your account.
Visitors in the United States. If you visit from the United States, analytics cookies are on by default and we do not show the cookie banner. You can turn them off at any time in the cookie settings below. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we ask you first.
No session recordings. We do not record your screen or replay your visits.
