There must be distant snow-capped peaks are slightly visible in the background, using only light grey and white. Everything must be low contrast and wrap around seamlessly. Background: I’d like to get a tattoo that commemorates being deemed cured of Hodgkins Lymphoma. Size: 2” x 2” max, so not too big…can’t go crazy on the detail. Imagery: Would like to depict a butterfly carrying away a cancer ribbon. Would like the wings to “read” as a dragon. (Figure/ground-ish? / Optical Illusion?) Note: Not really looking for a fierce/scary dragon (head)…can be more tame/docile/matter-of-fact, if possible. Note: Of course, butterflies are typically a “girlie” thing, so a challenge will be to come up with something that isn’t (sooo) girlie…While this is a nod to my wife, if the butterfly can be dude-cool, that would be amazing, but I don’t even know what that means! Colors (Could leave this part up to the tattoo artist): Ribbon - Lime (Lymphoma) Wings - Some purple (Lucky Family Color)? Style: Somewhat “Tribal” Meanings: Ribbon - Cancer Butterfly - Tina - saved my life by suggesting getting chest X-ray and caught cancer very early Dragon - Me - Year of the Dragon

A quiet, reflective balance of validation and resilience, this design acknowledges a brief, deeply heavy chapter of feeling overwhelmed while holding a gentle, enduring determination to keep the story moving forward. This emotional journey is captured through an intentionally ambiguous, seamless nature metaphor where elements softly blur together—like a wave or a shifting phase that fluidly opens up to allow room to breathe and change. Brought to life in an ultra-minimalist, continuous fine-line style, the tattoo uses whisper-light lines that effortlessly morph from one element into the next, prioritizing clean negative space that flows elegantly along a vertical canvas.
