Matangi" can refer to multiple things, primarily a Hindu goddess and a character in the Disney movie Moana 2. In Hinduism, Matangi is a Mahavidya, a tantric aspect of the Divine Mother and the Tantric form of Sarasvati, the goddess of music and learning. She governs speech, music, knowledge, and the arts, and is invoked for supernatural powers and mastery of the arts. In Moana 2, Matangi is a powerful, mysterious figure who challenges Moana's understanding of herself.
